BloxNote is a Roblox social deduction game built around one idea, stated plainly by the developer on the official game page: it is a game of deception, deduction, and teamwork. One side is trying to finish tasks and unmask a killer. The other side is trying to remove everyone in the way.
This guide sticks to what the developer has actually published. BloxNote is still at version 0.1, so the confirmed ruleset is short — and where the official material is silent, we say so instead of guessing.

The four roles
BloxNote assigns everyone one of four roles: Kira, Kira Follower, L and Investigator. The official description gives each role a single, clear job.
| Role | What the official description says you must do |
|---|---|
| Investigator | Complete all tasks to win while working alongside L to find Kira. |
| L | Assist the Investigators and help uncover Kira before they can DELETE everyone. |
| Kira | Team up with Kira Follower to DELETE all players, and specifically DELETE L, to win. |
| Kira Follower | The same objective as Kira: work together to remove every player and take out L. |
The important thing to notice is that this is not a standard one-killer setup. Kira and Kira Follower are a pair, and the pair has a specific target inside the target list. L is not just another Investigator either — L is the role Kira has to eliminate by name.
How each side actually wins
The official page frames the whole match as a race, and it states both endings:
- Investigators win by completing all of their tasks, working with L to identify Kira.
- Kira and Kira Follower win by removing every other player, and by removing L specifically.
- Either way, the page puts it as: find Kira before it is too late, or DELETE everyone standing in your way.
Because the win conditions are asymmetric, the pressure sits in different places. Investigators are on a task clock and a deduction clock at the same time. Kira and Kira Follower have to thin out the lobby without revealing the pair.
How to join your first match
- Open the official BloxNote page on Roblox.
- Press Play. The game is free, takes up to 13 players per server, and runs on PC, Console and Mobile.
- Pick a role when the round assigns one. There is no role selection, so expect to play both sides across sessions.
Two joining details worth knowing: BloxNote does not offer private servers, so you cannot set up a controlled lobby with friends, and guests are blocked from playing, so you need an actual Roblox account.
Fair play is part of the rules
The developer is unusually blunt about this one. The official description states that cheaters will be permanently banned with no hesitation, and repeats that if you cheat you will be banned. Given that a 1 vs All game collapses completely once one player can see through walls, expect that policy to be enforced rather than treated as a formality.
What is not documented yet
BloxNote is at v0.1, and the official material does not yet spell out several things players keep asking about: the number and layout of tasks on the Investigator side, the map itself, how role distribution is calculated per round, and any round timer. We have not invented numbers for those, because getting them wrong is worse than not publishing them. When the developer publishes more, this guide will be updated.
